I’ve been involved with FCA since high school where I served as the President of the Club my senior year. Then after many years of no involvement, I moved to Chicago as the Assistant Pro at the Cantigny Golf Club where an annual FCA golf event was being held, and I began to oversee the event. Through the connections I developed, I was asked to serve on the FCA Board which I did from 1992 to 1996, but the Lord had bigger ideas for me and called me away from a 25 year PGA career into full-time ministry returning to school for a master’s from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. After school I continued to explore a path where ministry and golf were inseparable leading me to the First Tee Golf programs in the Chicago North Suburbs. In my 4 years with the First Tee I gained valuable experience working with volunteers and connecting with local churches. While the program was very successful, experiencing some incredible growth, again, the Lord had a bigger challenge for me and my faith + athletics passion. So, in 2016 I joined the FCA team as an Area Rep in the North Chicago Area suburbs where only three schools were active. The desire for hearing God’s word in schools was high then and continues to grow. Within just a few years, the Lord blessed us with the opportunity to serve over 20 huddles/schools. I am driven, however, to bring Christ into more schools and to more students so with FCA’s support I took on the role of Multi-Area Director working to build the staff to carry out the Great Commission leading Coaches and Athletes into a growing relationships with Jesus Christ and His Church. My team serves Lake, McHenry, Northern Kane and Northern Cook Counties and to reach the over 1 million coaches and athletes in this area will require 100+ staff … a God sized task. And when I attend a huddle and see the strength of the faith in FCA students, I need no further motivation.
